The Henry Co. Bicentennial Committee kicked off their bicentennial celebration on October 4, 2018 with a reception and ribbon-cutting for the opening of the Making Alabama-A Bicentennial Traveling Exhibit at the Blanche Solomon Memorial Library located in downtown Headland at 17 Park Street. The exhibit was open October 4-26, 2018. The exhibit also featured a display of several 100-year-old quilts from Quilted Creations, a quilt shop located on the Headland square.
